Last visit to Changsha and my town Huarong, Hunan Province

Fun overnight train from Hangzhou to Changsha
The new subway line opened in Changsha! Road is still being built above it (not sketchy at all) but you can go down those new silver entrances!

Hunan was really hit by floods, it was crazy to see all the water.

1 day in Changsha and we got it all- unbearable sunshine and incredible downpours

ugh I love Changsha

Look at all those cranes...
My favourite building named Bofo <3  At night it always has beautiful light shows.
Enjoy the moment.

Bus to Huarong
Hanging back in my town- Huarong <3

Our river was also extremely flooded, SO STRANGE

The military came to our town to help with the floods (distributing food and shelter for hit families) and were stationed in our school campus- a strange thing to come home to after being gone for 2 weeks.

Our swollen river
Families who lost their homes were brought under in elementary school classrooms around town.. pretty crazy

Had a fun afternoon with a group of brave students who hung out with us :)
Those blocks sticking out in the water are actually part of the wall along the river walkway... which is underwater due to flooding

Best last Huarong dinner with my savior Tracy and all my favourite dishes- the purply greens, the water chestnuts, the baby lotus, the red sauce eggplant dish, duck, and egg dumplings <3 ah. (obviously my descriptions are not the correct ones)
