March in Huarong

The weather is warming up and it's wonderful to go biking around the countryside with my sweet bike. So many flowers are in bloom!

What is this black stuff?? coal? I have no clue... so strange.

Found a little hidden temple. A group of about 20 Chinese followed me around the entire complex and of course many pictures were taken. Then they gave me an orange and an old lady and I blessed it together in front of one of the gods. Just your typical Huarong experience.

My new friends! The woman is married to a German and they will be moving back to Germany this summer, so I get to speak German with this lovely family and they invite me cool places and are super helpful and friendly! Who would've expected meeting some German speakers in my town...

The woman with short hair is an acupuncture specialist and is utterly adorable.

Yüjia- she's 14 and so tall!

OH MAN my new favourite vegetable, no idea what is is but it's similar to green beans except way tastier and omg it's so good.

Cemetary

You see, this is "blue skies" in Huarong. Even I have (usually) stopped noticing the smog.

Many of the roads leading into/out of Huarong have been renovated and are SO nice, SO SO SO nice and very empty. Which is great.

Good thing there's a crosswalk there am i right
