Longsheng Rice Terraces (aka Dragon's Backbone)

An amazing day spent at the Longsheng Rice terraces- most famous during the time that they are flooded in May. We were a bit early for the water, but still the terraces are a sight to see. I was super lucky to meet an awesome group of German girls at the hostel and we spent the day together soaking in the sunshine and beautiful scenery.

See the pony at the edge of the field? Kind of gives you the scale
hehe just barreling along

Traditionally, the women in these minority villages never cut their hair. They have it wrapped around their heads and then held tight in a bun in the front. You can't really see it in this picture I snuck, but you can google it! It's kind of crazy.
