Hong Kong: day 3

Day 3 we were determined to do a hike in Hong Kong because there is so much beautiful nature to see. Dragon's back hike is in the east on Hong Kong island and was an absolutely stunning hike- worth it if you ever go to HK. It's fairly easy to get to and it's FREE! Yay nature! It took us about 1 1/2 hours? 2 hours? not long.

There was a Typhoon coming and the winds were insane!

To add to the fun, my sandals ripped about 100 meters into the hike... so barefoot it was. Luckily the stone and ground was fairly soft.

WINDDD

Such an incredible view.

Isn't it insane to think how many people are in this picture? SO MANY PEOPLE.

Adorable little French boy and his father... ah it was so cute to listen to.
The trail led to Big Wave Bay Village. Cool little beach town

The storm was coming... of course as soon as we changed into our swim suits, they issued a typhoon warning and we weren't allowed to get into the water.

Huge waves

Most beautiful wet market I've ever been to. The fish were so fresh and beautiful (and don't mind the pigs heads hanging out in the back)

AH it looks so good.
Yay crowds
After spending the entire rest of the day trying to find me bargain shoes in my size (41) to no avail, I finally caved and went to a Clarks store. It was SO annoying walking in the broken sandal and my feet were BLACK.
It took 4 days (and a trip to the pool) for this black to get off my foot.

Last time doing the Star Ferry

THE WIND... storm's a coming

Last night in HK: downpour. It rained and rained and rained and rained.
And we end the adventure where we started it... and what an amazing adventure it was.
