Shanghai Day 1- Christmas Eve

We flew from Changsha to Shanghai- a quick 2 hour trip and it was cheaper than the train!  After eating our delicious airplane sandwich (meat: unknown), we arrived in Shanghai around 10:30.
From the airport you can take the famous "Maglev" or magnetic levitation train into the city- Shanghai was the first city to have a Maglev! It goes SUPER fast but you can't really tell you're floating. Still, a cool experience.

Once we dropped our stuff off at a cute little apartment in the middle of the city (thanks airbnb), we headed out for lunch. And what is a day in China without some dumplings?

So many bikes all over Shanghai!!! Reminded me of the Netherlands :)

The German Christmas market!

Bratwurst, Currywurst, Glühwein, Käsebretzel- you can imagine how happy I was
